The Sound Check...
We got this picture with Tai Anderson after their sound check when Tai was by the Third Day booth.  We were talking a little with him, asking if the rest of the band was going to come out after the show to talk.  He said no because they had to catch a flight I THINK back home.  Then I asked Tai about a letter I had written to the band about my creative writing teacher, Mr. Wilson, playing their
Conspiracy no.5
CD in the classroom.  Tai's eyes got real big and he pointed at me.  "That was YOU!?" he said.  He said that was one of the coolest letters Third Day had gotten about their music being played.  Their wives photocopy the letters and bind them in notebooks so their husbands can read their fan mail on the bus.  Tai said Mac read the letter first, then said, "Guys, you gotta read this letter!"

What happened was Mr. Wilson read my journal entries about the two Third Day concerts I had attended, and he asked to borrow a CD.  So I brought Conspiracy No.5 to class, and he played it FOR THREE DAYS, three songs a day, and two of those days he played "My Hope is You."  That day I bought a little picture for Mr. WIlson, and Tai signed it saying, "Thanks for playing our music!"
Today, four years later, Mr. Wilson still has that picture and a signed poaster by all the band members up on his public high school classroom.  I ended up giving him a
Conspiracy No.5
album, along with a Time recording that I won from a radio station.  We've also given him a copy of a Release magazine that had Third Day on the cover.  He still plays the CDs in class too.
